GARRICK W. CASON, MD

Garrick W. Cason, MD graduated from Millsaps College in Jackson, MS. He received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Mississippi Medical School in 2004. He completed his Residency in Orthopedic Surgery from the University Of Tennessee College of Medicine and completed an ACGME accredited fellowship in Spinal Surgery at the William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan. Dr. Cason is a certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic  Surgery. He has been awarded the Rice-Holland Memorial Award in Pharmacology, Deans Award, and inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society by the University of Mississippi Medical School. He has given several presentations at the North American Spine Society and Lumbar Spine Research Society.  He has produced several peer- review journal publications and written several book chapters related to the treatment of cervical, thoracic and lumbar spinal disorders. Dr. Cason also participated in

research and design of orthopedic spinal implants with industry leaders. He is on faculty with the University of Tennessee college of Medicine department of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Cason offers orthopedic spine services for adult and pediatric patients, treating degenerative conditions, deformities, infections, and tumors of the spine. Dr. Cason works with Dr. James Osborn and they are the regions only spine surgeons that are trained at an ACGME accredited spine surgery fellowship.
